This is my favorite restaurant in Fremont, not even close. There is better Mexican food in the Bay Area, but not better in Fremont by my opinion. I have gone here 19 times in the past 6 months. Lovely staff working here, Pepe is a lovely bartender and has my beer ready before I even sit down and say hello. Felipe, the backup, has a sweet, large smile and welcoming charisma. The regulars are great to chat with as well. The community atmosphere and consistent large portions with no off nights with a quality of the food make this place a regular spot for me. If only I could afford dining here every night, I would without growing tired. Think you Cantaritos, I appreciate you.

The newest owner (it's been a couple of years now) is the best so far (over the last 20 years). The food is homemade and to die for. Their frijoles refritos are absolutely delicious (would love to know their secret). Whatever you like to eat, you'll love their cooking.

This was my first visit here. Cantaritos Fremont is going to be one of my favorite Mexican veg food restaurant. Food quality and test - 5 stars ***** Vegetarian food - 4.5 stars **** Ambience - 4.5 stars **** Cleanliness - 5 stars ***** Value for money - Parking - 4 stars - **** Retail parking spaces available I visited this restaurant for dinner on Saturday nightThis restaurant has friendly staff members. I was promptly greeted and seated. Restaurant was busy. They took orders quickly and also serviced food quickly. We ordered all vegetarian dishes. There is a separate vegetarian menu page Food was served quickly and also was presented well. The food test was really good, I enjoyed it. I requested special order that was not on menu - Wet veg burrito and it was really good. I enjoyed and loved their green sauce. I ordered too much food - I could not finish so packed to go! veg Nachitca was really tasty. The restaurant has traditional Mexican decoration, friendly staff and also good seating.

Smells so delicious in there! No wonder their kitchen is busy! A kind lady apologized for the delay in my pick up order, which is fine by me. But I was surprised by the delay only being 5 minutes post my arrival. It was deliciously cooked and hot off the grill. Almost ate it in my car, It smelled so good

We came for dinner around 6PM, the restaurant was getting busy. We were seated and served with a small plate of chip & salsa. The salsa sauce was so good, the red one was more spicy than the green. We ordered Beef fajitas, A La Diablo, and Baby burrito. The food came quickly and really delicious, fresh ingredients, big portions and very reasonable price. Employees are very friendly and attentive, excellent service. Highly recommended. It’s for sure my favorite the Mexican food restaurant.

Second time visiting this place. I have been looking for a Mexican restaurant that serves Molcajete near Fremont and finally found one. We ordered Molcajete (not on the menu) which is full of ingredients and very flavorful! It also came with pinto beans, rice and tortillas, big enough to feed two people. Margarita and fish taco was ok but we’d like to come back and try other dishes

The food was amazing.Hearty portions with great chips. Haven’t tried their coffee yet, but there’s always next time. Will be coming back, as I was very happy with my meal

Exceptionally good food. One can only wax rhapsodic about their margaritas, which the good waiter mistook to be 'on the house margarita' rather than the advertized house margarita, and left it off our bill. We did endeavor to correct that, might I add... To sum it all up, we came in hungry, and left inspired. This place is indeed the last word in restaurants. While Fremont isn't exactly known for restaurants, or anything else for that matter, one can safely describe this place as the proverbial hidden gem. We'll be back.
